EB Air – Sterionizer Reduces Food Wastage

In modern days food wastage has become a common norm, mostly following the verdict of the expiry date as printed by the manufacturer. Our tastes and preferences keep changing and so does food, hence what we like today may not be the same tomorrow. In modern society we buy more than we need and following the above norm sooner half of the stored food items, be it cooked or uncooked, get dumped. Most fruits and vegetables that we buy are chemical treated at the farm hence when they land on our storage shelf or refrigerator shortly degradation start as many bacteria starts forming on genetically modified produce as much as storage in unconditioned space high in moisture and air borne contaminants.

Studies conducted in labs where samples of foods items from two refrigerators were taken to the lab. One had Sterionizer (Bipolar Ionization) treatment, and the other was normally refrigerated. The lab analysis included a count of Coliforms and other bacteria in Cherries, Tomatoes and the cup of milk. The analysis did not include mold concentration which was visually observed clearly in yellow cheese and cucumbers.

The visual findings are supported by the lab results and show clearly that bipolar Ionization is effective in extending the shelf life of many food items stored in a refrigerator.

with the SterionizerTesting consisted of the exposure of selected foodstuffs to the ionization effect of the Sterionizer in a normal ambient refrigerator, compared to an identical test group not exposed to the ionization of the Sterionizer.

The Sterionizer demonstrated both efficacy and ability to reduce Coli forms and other aerobic microbes on foodstuffs in an enclosed refrigerated environment.
