4-Way Throw Ceiling Induction Chilled Beam

$0.00

EB Air Control 4-way throw Ceiling induction chilled beam (2 x 2 ft) uses a primary air supply to create induced air through aerodynamic nozzles, inducing room air over a chilled/Hot water coil to provide cooling/Heating This system distributes air in four directions, improving comfort and reducing drafts compared to traditional single-direction throw units. The Ceiling Induction Chilled Beam unit typically includes a plenum, nozzles, and a sensible cooling coil, working in conjunction with a central
DOAS (Dedicated Outside Air Unit).

Features

  1. Primary Air Supply:The unit receives primary air from the central DOAS unit
  2. High-Velocity Nozzles:The primary air enters a plenum and is forced through aerodynamically designed nozzles, creating high-velocity air flows
  3. Induction:These nozzles create a low-pressure zone (plume effect), which induces room air into the unit.
  4. Cooling/Heating:The induced room air flows over a chilled/Hot water coil, where it is cooled/heated.
  5. Distribution:The treated, induced air (Coanda effect) is then discharged back into the space in a 4-way pattern, providing a more even and comfortable temperature distribution.

Merits

  • Improved Room Comfort: The 4-way distribution helps to create a more even temperature profile in the space, minimizing drafts and cold/hot spots.
  • Reduced Drafts: By directing air towards the ceiling and away from the occupied zone, drafts are minimized.
  • Energy Efficiency: The induction process allows the Induction chilled beam to cool the space with a lower primary airflow requirement compared to conventional VAV systems.
  • High Sensible Capacity: The Ceiling Induction Chilled Beam system allows the unit to provide a significant amount of cooling/heating capacity than conventional Active Beams, making it suitable for various applications with high loads
  • Quiet Operation: The unit’s design allows for quiet operation, minimizing noise disruption in the space.
    • Drain Pan: The unit is built with drain pan to capture residual condensate and act as a fail-safe barrier to prevent any leakage or ceiling damage. The unit can be fitted with float switch and condensate pump, if required.

Applications

  • Conference/Meeting rooms: The 4-way distribution and quiet operation make them ideal for conference rooms.
  • Open offices: They can provide a more even and comfortable temperature distribution in larger open spaces.
  • Classrooms: Ceiling Induction Chilled beams are versatile and can be used in school applications where efficient and comfortable cooling is needed and moisture built in form of condensate can be trapped as well. High cooling load also creates comfort environment than standard perimeter terminal units.
